Twenty Peso challenge

I can never spoil my son because I know in the end he will be the one who will benefit from it.

He wanted a lego starwars and I told him that I can't afford to give him that cause my work is not sufficient. He told me "What if I work for you?" Hmm. An idea that I could not resist.

So, one day, I asked him to work for me. His task is to help me clean the table, put the squidballs on stick. Prepare all the food that we need in the store. For 3 hours of working I'll give him 20 pesos.

After 2 hours, he asked me "So mommy, is my work done?"
I answered " Nope. Not yet. you still have an hour."
"What? how many hours pa?"
"One more hour." Then I smiled
"Can I sit and talk to you? La pa naman ako work eh." As we sit he started talking about his work. "Hirap pala work noh. Napapagod ako. I'm tired. It's not easy!"
I smiled. "Anak, you see mommy has too work hard to help daddy in sending you to school and paying the bills. It would require for me to leave you sometimes so I can work. I hope you understand."

"Mommy, I understand po. Thank you for letting me work. Now I understand it is not easy."

Now my son keeps his first salary and doesnt want to use it until he saves up so he can buy his lego star wars. Now he takes care of his toys.

I know I did the right thing. He knows how to value his money now. =)

He's moving up to prep!

Kudos for our lil hero Jazer! He is now moving to prep this coming school year!He graduated with flying colors. He is one of the most outstanding students in his level.

I often tell Schatzy, myself and Fairy Faye that this is a group effort. If not for Ate Faye, lil hero won't wake up in the morning (they often struggle) have a yummy breakfast and baon. If not for Schatzy and me he wont be able to go to school and he wont have someone to teach him with his homework. Sometimes even his lil sis will help him and remind him with his homework.

That's why I believe this award is our family's group effort.
Here's my son with his best buddy.

What's keeping me busy?

Playing this game is sooooo addictive. I end up waking in the wee hours just to click on my haven.

The game relaxes me thats why I play it. I try to squeeze it in my busy schedule.
I really don't want to play this at first but yeah! I liked it.

A day in a life of a point and shoot wannabe photographer (one who captures moments with love).

My first ride...

Yesterday is my first ride with Osten. I had fun and believed in myself once again. Schatzy dydy didn't expect me to bike Pasig to Fairview. And yes! I did it! I was so happy that I was bragging about the ride. It took 2 hours, 3 stops (one at my in laws house to borrow my D-I-L's helmet, a softdrink stop and scramble break. hehehe) and a supportive husband to finish. I didn't eat breakfast but drank tea so my tummy will feel warm. It lasted me for 3 hours. On our way back my tummy was grumbling and seeking for food. I called Fairy Faye to cook whatever it is that's easy to cook so I can eat when we get home. Oh my! I ate alot and slept the rest of the day. I even forgot to do my duties for the store that day. I am so happy. =)

Listening to...

Katy Perry, Taio and Jlo. It's a lazy sunday and I want to enjoy our bed. Here I am with my laptop thinking what BlahBlahBlah to write about. My past few weeks were busy, but I had time to share it with my friends. It is my lil hero's school break and he is spending time with his grandparents house. My lil angel didn't want to go there and opted to stay with us. Schatzy is still working so, I can't force them to go out.

I find myself singing Cher's Strong enough and Basia's Baby your mine. I might end up singing Kylie Minogue's song later. Hehehe.

My new buddy!

Here it is! My new buddy that would make my body slim! I want to use the word TONE. I'll name it Buddy. It's a proteus mtm 4500 treadmill. We checked out Toby's sport shop yesterday and the machine cost almost 25K. He never stopped asking me that night if I really wanted it. I answered yes because I really do like to have one. I am starting to slack a lot. I know but I am doing nothing about it. That's the problem!

So, when Schatzy heard that I was an eager beaver to change my lifestyle... he didn't hesitate to give me what I need. He was even the one who searched in the internet to look for a cheaper one. And YES he found the same machine 40% off the originally. We checked it out! It was sooooo slightly used. The moment I saw it my heart jumped! I was giddy happy to call it MINE! The owner was very kind too.
I'll sleep early so I can start trimming down tomorrow. hehehe

coke baso!

I am a fan of coke glasses. I remember in Saudi when we buy a case of coke just to have the free dozen of coke glasses. hehehe. I still have a survivor from the dozen that my mom sent me.I love glasses. Actually, I try to collect it but it couldn't fit my small mansion.=) Glasses, mugs, shot glass, wine glass, cocktail glass and snow globes...(cause it is made of glass?) hahaha.
I am happy now that I have half a dozen of this...

And it's made by luminarc. I am planning to buy another half dozen so I'll use the other half and keep the other. hehehe.

Bro, Ikaw ang star ng pasko

Salamat sa liwanag mo... lalala lalala... ang pasko! hahaha. That's my new LSS (last song symdrome). We went to the mall today to buy Christmas Decor. We were not suppose to buy today but when I cleaned the christmas tree the other day Schatzy and I saw the excitement in our kids eyes. I felt pity for my kids. They are used to put the christmas decor right after Halloween. We enjoyed our SM ADVANTAGE POINTS cause we used that in paying half of the total amount of the christmas decors. We are suppose to color the tree silver but settled in buying silver and red decors for our gigantic christmas tree (3ft tall! hahaha). I couldn't dare to paint our tree gray.
The story behind it? That tree has been with us for 5 years. There was just US (Jerry and Aa)... and the tree that helped me recover from my loneliest christmas.
I was lonely cause I spent it without my family and my new family was not into christmas. Yup! For me it was really a big deal to put up the christmas tree with the whole family... In a very far place in a land with a view (wink! wink!) we use to put up our christmas tree with the whole family present and the youngest member will be held up to put the star on top of the tree.

One day, my Schatzy's godmother asked for help in her house. She lives just around the corner and we didn't have anything to do (cause we only have a bed, a fan, a table, a ref and a gas stove.) Hehehe. We helped and on our way home she told us it we like to have her old christmas tree cause she was planing to buy a bigger one. I hesitated at first because I was shy but we accepted it in the end. You see, we couldn't afford decorations by that time. But I was able tosave and buy a box of white balls and a yard of ribbon. It made me smile everyday when I wake up. A simple tree lifted my spirit and I promised myself that it will never happened again. I will never spend christmas without my family and never will I spend it alone.

See fit!

This is my son 2 years ago. He likes playing with the laundry clip (SIPIT). I can't describe his expression. He cries a bit then starts laughing, he'll pull the clip then asks me to put it on his finger again. CRAZY!

After two years... here is my daughter doing the same thing... I guess history repeats itself!

What's with SIPIT?

Why is my schatzy the best?

Because sometimes he turns out to be my bestfriend... he makes me feel young even when I am turning a year older.

All saints day!

A sunny all saints day... it's good that one saint is not here SAINT TI! hahaha. Ate Faye had her day-off so I was left with my kids and Schatzy alone. She cooked breakfast before she left (bait talaga ni Ate hindi kmi pinapabayaan) so I was left to give my kids a bath and cook for lunch. Our family had tree planting today. It was Schatzy and I who planted and the kids played with the soil which made a mess. My lil hero got my husbands camera phone and got our pictures.I love this opportunity which I can do everything for my family. I cooked pork stroganoff and mashedpotatoes. My lil angel sang all the time... while taking a bath, watching the television and playing. The kids watched the movie UP again before we went for a swim. Too bad Schatzy couldn't join us cause he is still working. Nevertheless, our weekend was spent well.

Priceless artwork

Here's our hand prints. Dydy in blue, Mymy in yellow, Lil hero in green and lil angel in pink. As you can see, we take pride in our art. hahaha. I planned to do it in a plate but it cost a thousand in rockwell. So, when I saw this canvass, I got and it bought paint at the same time. And wahlah! We painted our hands and made a mark in the canvass. I let them choose what color to use. I thought that lil angel will use yellow but when I asked her if she likes yellow or pink she answered "PINK!" and grabbed the pink paint. Okay! I'm a giving mother. Hahaha! Lil hero choose green because he likes ben10 and Schatzy wants blue. I am left with 2 options, yellow and red so I choose yellow because it's a nice bright color.

I gave my very best...

and it feels good. It's almost a week that I have been doing this slideshow and powerpoint presentation. I gave all that I could for this presentation and it felt good when the people applauded and gave me commendations. I did this with all my heart.

I, once heard the story of a carpenter that was asked to build a house not knowing who the house is for. He built it just because he needs to build it. He didn't give his best and in the end, he was told that the house was made for him. He regret what he did cause it wasn't his best...

Me... I was proud of what I did. Their simple thank you is enough. The opportunity that they gave me was enough. They liked what I did... but I love it more than they do. hehehe.

To the Yalung family... thank you for believing in me!

Picture happy by Ayvih!

If you know me, you'll definitely know that I love my pictures taken... Candid! Hehehe.

Three years ago, Hubby and I decided that it is time for us to have our church wedding. I looked for suppliers and I fell in love with the works of Paul Vincent. Unfortunately, the wedding didn't push thru because we decided that we will buy a condo first. Okay, smart move but that didn't stop me from dreaming that someday we will renew our vows.

So there I was, still dreaming of our church wedding when suddenly I was asked to join the team of Jody Liwanag for Events experts. No hesitation at all, I said yes. Or is it the other way around? I asked Jody if I can join the team? hahaha. And because of that, I saw Paul Vincent in flesh.

I got to mingle with Paul and his team and they are friendly. My dream of having my picture taken by Paul never stopped until the day...
Ayvih got my candid picture...

She showed how happy I was that day because I poured a lot of love in our little biz. No pose, just happy!

I love every pixel of it! Thanks a lot Ayvih!

It's not everyday that someone captures your happiest moments. I'll treasure this. You'll never know how much this picture means to me... pagmalungkot ako, yan pinagtatawanan ko. hahaha.
