He's moving up to prep!

Kudos for our lil hero Jazer! He is now moving to prep this coming school year!He graduated with flying colors. He is one of the most outstanding students in his level.

I often tell Schatzy, myself and Fairy Faye that this is a group effort. If not for Ate Faye, lil hero won't wake up in the morning (they often struggle) have a yummy breakfast and baon. If not for Schatzy and me he wont be able to go to school and he wont have someone to teach him with his homework. Sometimes even his lil sis will help him and remind him with his homework.

That's why I believe this award is our family's group effort.
Here's my son with his best buddy.

New Ate

Since my lil hero is going to school, our schedule is tied up with him. And I am forced to wake my lil angel up very early so we can bring Kuya to school. I asked Schatzy of having a new Ate in the house. She is Khaki Jacqui. She's not much of a big help but I bet she'll do her best to help us. =) Hoping, wishing and praying...

Sundays are meant for Families

I can still remember when Toli was still alive, Sundays are meant for family. We would go to church then eat out. Sometimes, we would have lunch in the house... when everybody is there he would always smile and say "Kumpleto tayo ah! (We are complete!) Kulang lang si... at si ... kumpleto na sana tyo." Hahaha! Yes he would be thankful that the family (including the adopteds) is there. These simple things made him happy.

Most of the time when my Schatzy's off is sunday, we would go to church and have a nice family day. A simple luch or merienda then a good movie and a time to pray will do.

Today, we had our family day. They helped me first with my task and after it is done we went to a mall and watched SHREK forever after. It broke my heart to know that it would be the last. It is not your typical fairytale thats why I loved it so much. The kids loved it too. Well, my lil angel enjoyed it, she never made a noise inside the cinema (2 buckets of popcorn, a soda, nachos and dede did the job). Indeed, I am thankful for sundays.

Laiya, San Juan Batangas for Hearts day!

With all the stress and heartaches we have been getting from all the bad news, we decided to head to the beach. The trip was suppose to be on Valentines Day exactly but I was so excited that I asked them that we go a day earlier.

(Me and Ailey in our matching outfits!)

I purposely didn't make a reservation so I can choose personally what suits us there. We checked from Taramindu (the place where we are suppose to stay but considered to look for a different place) then there was BALAI which was fully booked, AQUATICO which was nice (VERY NICE, too bad it is fully booked too.) And etc.etc. We stayed at TIVONA where RYAN AGONCILLO stayed when he dressed up for his wedding to MS. JUDY ANN SANTOS. We were suppose to get the honeymoon suite but it was booked so we stayed at the beachside. We loved it cause it was near the beach and you can see the kids even if your inside the room.

I love the cabanas near the shoreline where the kids love to hang out and play with the sand. We had a big bag of beach toys for them to enjoy. Schatzy even had his Ondoy rubber boat (but that's a different story, I'll blog about that later.)Our little angel braved herself and swam alone in the sea for the first time. Our little hero had his share of braveness too (more of that story in Schatzy Dydy's boatchase story). We had our first underwatershot (thanks to my new toy!). Schatzy enjoyed playing with it while I catched my breath for doing it a hundred times.=)

After enjoying the sun, the sea and the sand... we had time to relax. We got an hour massage at the seaside for 300pesos. I dosed off easily since I didn't have sleep (because of too much excitement). After the relaxing massage, we ate dinner at Taramindu. We walked after our meal and enjoyed the breeze. The kids loved walking barefoot. Our little hero is so eager to walk the whitesand stretch while our little angel enjoyed being carried by Schatzy, then Moi, then Fairy Faye. Fairy Faye put our little angel to sleep while the rest of us continued to walk and have drinks. As our little angel traveled to dreamland Fairy Faye and I sneeked out to have a girlbonding and watch Tv at the Taramindu bar. We were there to witness who will be the big winner. =) I love spending time with her.The next day when we woke up, we hit the beach again. We had taho and Bananaque at the seaside for breakfast. We enjoyed the COLD water and the big waves. Ate lunch and had a few photo op then head home.We were not yet half our way home when our little hero insisted that we go back... Till next time!

Fairy Faye

is sick today. I guess she got really tired from cooking yesterday. She cooked pancit for longer life and barbeque. I really appreciate her effort. I hugged her at the end of the day and thanked her with all my heart. The kids saw me and hugged her too. I would really say that she is indeed a part of the family. =) I did all the chores today even if she insist on doing it. I told her to rest and sleep a lot, maybe she is lacking sleep because she wants to keep up with the owls (according to Lheng that's what we are). Hehehe. Nevertheless, I hope she gets well soon so we can watch her requested movie "SUKOB" for another family movie night!

Sunday... Family day

When I was small I told myself if ever I'm going to have my own family there should be a family day everyweek. This Sunday eventhough my husband worked, we managed to go out with the kids. Lil hero, lil angel and I went earlier so they can play with their godbrothers in Fun Ranch. We ate lunch and watched the free magic show. Although Ate Faye wasn't there with us cause she had her day-off, I survived the rest of the day with my kids while waiting for Schatzy to finish his work and join us. We roamed around and found out that there was a 3 day sale in the middle of tiendesitas. Lil hero asked me it he can buy the cute polo that the maniquin was wearing. I said yes because the price was so reasonable. I even bought him another one and bought his godbrothers too. We rested in one of the benches while waiting for Schatzy and saw a lot of dogs. Jazer requested if we can come back in Fun Ranch so he can ride while waiting for his Dydy. We went to the bowling alley and played with the duck pins. He is so good at it. The attendants didn't want to allow him at first because they thought that he couldn't carry the ball. When they saw him play they were awed because he is really good for his age. He got a score of 79, not bad for a first timer. He wanted to try the mini golf but I can't help him cause I have to check on Lil Angel who is by the way, very MAKULIT. We went to the Big read barn and watched the free magic show for the second time of the day. Lil angel danced when she saw the mascots of big red barn dance to the song "Nobody but you!". After that, Lil Hero tried Logico and liked it but it was very expensive so I didn't buy it. Lil Angel rode the carousel. How did I knew she wanted to ride? She pointed to the horse and said " DIGIDIG DIGIDIG". Hahaha. I didn't have enough pictures because my phone had no batteries. Schatzy came just in time and lil hero tried to show off his bowling skills to Dydy. We ate at Tiendesitas and looked for some new loots Schatzy found a polo he likes and bought it. He saw the mother and daughter dress Ailey and I was looking at and got it. It was a very tiring day but when we got home I couldn't believe that the kids still has energy. We waited for Ate Faye and gave her our t-shirt pasalubong for her and showed our new things. She gave Ailey a cute sandals as pasalubong and bought cashew and suman for the rest of the family (sweet noh!). Ah! It was really a tiring day!

Ate Fe's vacation

It was one week without Ate fe. She went home the day after Ailey and Jazer's birthday. She didn't want to leave us because I just came from an operation and I am not allowed to carry anything more than 2 lbs. I insisted that she has to come home cause her sister is getting married. I didn't want her to miss the event cause it's not everyday her sister gets married and that day will be her birthday also. So I told her I'll just buy her ticket and it will be our birthday gift to her. She hesitated at first. I really felt her concern but I hope she understands my point. And she did. I told her that her sister would really be surprised and thankful that they are complete on her wedding day. While she was on her vacation she kept in touched asking me if I was ok. She even told me not to do the laundry. Hay... we are so blessed for having her. She came back after seven days. We fetched her in the airport. She was happy to see us specially the kids. She has lots of pasalubong for us specially the kids. She is a part of our family already. It's good to have her back.

On our way to BOHOL

The night before our flight I told everyone to sleep early because we will be leaving the house by 3a.m. Ailey and I went to bed by 7p.m. She was irritated of her growing teeth thats why she woke up time to time. I wasn't able to get some sleep! Whah! So I started to double check then triple check our things. I took a bath by 12a.m. and after my refreshing bath Ate Fe woke up already. I was teasing her that she was too excited that's why she woke up really early. After preparing breakfast Jazer woke up and said "Mommy are we riding the airplane already?" I smiled and nodded. He was happy to dress up and drink his chocolate drink.

We checked all our things and called a cab to take us to the airport.

As I stepped down the cab, I felt the morning air in my face. I saw the sign Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminal 2. Wow! This is really is it! Hahaha. I haven't had an airplane ride for almost 2 years. The last one was when we went to Singapore. This trip was really a treat for the whole family.

It's Ailey first time to ride a plane and Ate Faye too! I am excited for them.

We checked in, waited and board the plane. We rode PAL PR173 and it was on time! PAL doesn't mean Pilipino Always Late anymore! The flight was good not until we were about to land. The plane went inside a big cloud that cause turbulence and made our ride experience like a rollercoaster. We landed safely thanks to Capt. Chua and the rest of his crew. We were even 2 minutes earlier than the estimated time of arrival. Very Impressive! The airplane doors opened and we had our pictorial before going down.

There we were in the land of bohol. This is where another adventure begins!

Note: I didn't know that the lugguage cart was operated by winnie the pooh.

Our dinner last Friday

And so I was inspired by the rare ingredients I had purchased the last time we went to the grocery. I decided to cook. I made pork steak with dill and white sauce, chopsuey, and plain rice. I even platted it and our ate Faye enjoyed eating it with her hands. Kamayin daw ang platting ko! Hehehe.

Thankful for Ate.

Our nanny is younger than me and Jerry but we call her Ate. Para gagayahin ng mga kids at malambing ang dating. It's been a month since she is with us, and after all those yayas we have had before... ngayon lang ako wala reklamo.

She cares for us and I never had the feeling that I need to worry if I'm not there. She knows what I want and she will make it even before I tell her to do so.

I am so thankful that she came into our lives.Hope she will stay. Maybe, not forever pero longer.

Thankful din ako sa nag-introduce sa kanya sa amin. You know who you are. Thank you thank you!

househelp

Finally, I found someone who doesn't just want to work but she is someone who cares for us. Mahirap na humanap ng ganito. Hope she will never leave us. Jazer likes her. Actually, all of our past househelps can't make Jazer take a bath, amazingly she can. She has a way with children and knows her responsibilities.
