After our Bisita Iglesia, my tummy hurt so bad. I was vomiting so hard. I couldn't eat at all. I told Jerry that I couldn't bare the pain. I am so pale. My son was worried that he was always at my side. While Jerry was getting the keys and other things that we would need I passed out in our hall way. The next thing I knew, Jerry was dragging me outside. My foot was getting friction from the ground. I guess that's why I regained my consciousness.
On the way to the hospital I heard my son say "Mommy is sick. I won't leave her side."
The next time I opened my eyes, we were in the hospital. I was asked to move from the passenger seat to the wheel chair. Ahaha! My head almost banged the floor. Good thing the nurse got the collar of my shirt.
They inserted an IV at once so I would be able to regain strength. The nurses and doctors were friendly enough to comfort me. After four hours of observance, the doctors decided that I should be admitted. They were suspecting that I have appendicitis. I know I have appendicitis.
After another 4 hours of different doctors pushing my tummy, and a series of different ultrasound (to check that I was not having a ectopic pregnancy) finally they have ruled out that it was really APPENDICITIS. I had a 2 hours of sleep before the operation. Without any hesitation I told them that if they will cut me better do it soon. My son is celebrating his 4th birthday this Sunday and I want to be home and be there with him.
Inside the prep room the nurses were double checking me. They saw I still have my nails polished. They have to remove it for oxidation purposes. I removed my wedding ring and earrings. I told them that I want to see the whole process and making me sleep wouldn't be necessary. For me, when I am conscious it is better. I worry when I'm sedated.
There I was, lying on a hospital table. Arms positioned like they are going to crucify me. Ack! The thought of having an operation on a GOOD FRIDAY makes feel like I'm sacrificing for the good of all the people around me. They said this is it maam. Ok. I started watching myself from the light above. I know what you are thinking I should stay away from the LIGHT! Toinks! No! Not that kind of light! I'm talking about the operating light! Hahaha. I saw them cut right into my stomach. I talk alot, maybe that's why the doctor asked the nurse to put on my oxygen mask. Hahaha. Gentleman si Doc he knows how to say SHUT UP in a very nice way. Hahaha.
I got dizzy. When I closed my eyes the doctors found my swollen appendix. And when I opened my eyes they finished stitching me up. I asked one of the nurse to show me my appendix. When I saw it I told them that my husbands appendix is smaller and it has a paz around it. Hehehe. The doctor suspected it was on it's second stage already. Good thing they have removed it.
From the recovery room, a nurse was watching me. I told him that I am getting some sleep. When I woke up. He asked me if I can wiggle my toes and lift my feet up high. I did. Now I can move to my room where hubby and friends are waiting for me.
Yehey! That's how I spent my good friday. Thank God for the successful operation. The angel is back on her wings again.
