Last night, when the kids are asleep, Schatzi and I decided to hang out in our patio to get some fresh air. We would usually chat before going to sleep, but this time our bedroom talk would be moved in our patio.
A: Ang bilis ng panahon noh?
J: Huh? Gusto ko palagyan na ng bamboo yang side ng wall na yan. (Pointing to the direction of our neighbor's guesthouse kuno! Well, It's a factory's workers sleeping quarters. We live beside them!)
A: Malaki na mga anak natin. And take note! MGA!
J: Maganda ba? Yung mula dito hangang dito. (Again pointing to the length of the neighbors eye wrecking property)
A: Buti na lang nabili natin toh noh (pertaining to the house) bago dumating si Ailey.
J: Yup!
HA! Buti na lang nagkaintindihan na rin yung usapan namin. Til it came to the point when we started talking about our wedding.
Jerry and I never had a church wedding. My tummy was ready to burst when we tied the knot. His parents wanted to have a church wedding but I said to myself this is my wedding not theirs. Jerry was kind enough to understand and together we decided to have a simple civil wedding.
I focused on our future. Jerry was working already but I was still studying culinary that time. His earnings was enough for us and a few savings for our PEABERRY's (that's what we call our lil hero Jazer) arrival and future.
We got married when he was 26 and I was 23 in Oasis... in the middle of Gateway Mall. It was just the Judge, his parents and brother for his side. In my side was my bestfriend who was more like my big sister, her boyfriend and her mom. Her dad, who stands as my father, couldn't come cause he was stucked in traffic daw but we knew that he would not really come for the fact that he still could not accept that his adopted daughter (that's what they call me) is getting married. My real mom just gave birth to my sister that's why they couldn't make it to my wedding.
There were no fancy floral arrangements, just the palm trees, no elaborated table setting nor gifts to open. We just bought a video camera earlier that day, so that we could capture the moment. It served as our first conjugal property. =)
It's just simple and it went the way we wanted. For us that's what is important. But we still hoped that one day we could have our dream church wedding.
Actually, we already planned to have our renewal of vows. It was suppose to be last June 21, 2008. In Lourdes Church in Tagaytay and the reception in Splendido. We already made reservations last year but we opted to buy a house cause a new blessing came. Pumpkin (our lil Angel that's what we call her when she was still in my tummy) was on her way.
And until now we still dream for our church wedding... someday, there will be a right time.
