Who gets the credit?

There was a time when I called my bestfriend and showed her that my son Jazer can write already. She said with a surprise "pang grade 1 na yang ginagawa mo ah. Mana ka sa tatay mo."

I was hurt. I don't know why. Maybe they didn't know that I was the one who keeps on supervising Jazer. I am the one who brings him to school. I follow-up on all his lessons so when we are at home I can teach him and review all the things he did in school.

...Unfortunately, my effort was not noticed by people, my husbands genes does. Sometimes, I just wanna stop and think about my career cause I don't get credit for all the things I'm doing. But it's my son's love that keeps me going. The sweet thank yous and kisses.

I guess thats a good reason.

dear A,
don't feel so bad... whatever it is that you're doing for your kid eventhough people will not notice, when he grows up perfectly they will soon say "You've been a good and educated person, pinalaki kang maayos ng Nanay mo" - oh diba?
hang on girl. you're PERFECTLY doing fine. :)
