I have a friend whose name is Cess, short for Princess. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last 19th of March. They named her Jossett Luirose. The baby is 7.7 lbs (big baby), her skin doesn’t wrinkle cause she has a lot of fat (cute cute!). She sleeps like an angel and smiles like she is having a pleasant dream. When you look at her, you’ll envy her of her innocent world, not knowing what lies ahead and only cries when hungry or there’s a wee-wee and poopsie.
I heard the most wonderful phrase from her mother “Kung pwede lang, hindi na lang ako magwork para lagi ko sya kasama.” I said that also to my first born. I am so possessive that I don’t even care what other people say. I quit my job to take care of him. Right now I am learning to let go of my son because he needs to learn.
Princess even said “Kung pwede nga lang na hindi ka lumaki at ganyan ka na forever eh.” The first time I heard that from my senior pilot I thought it was selfish. And when I was in his shoes, I felt and said the same thing. And now, I heard it again from Cess. I was wrong. Masasabi mo lang yun sa sobrang pagmamahal mo sa anak mo.
The glow in Princess eyes… it was brighter than ever. It shows that she was happy even though she couldn’t smile because she doesn’t have enough sleep from last night. She couldn’t sleep because of happiness that she was indeed a mother and she couldn’t take her eyes off her.
It was a different story for the man who loves them both… He was more than willing to take care of his Princesses (tama b? plural n b toh?) without any hesitation. Cess was c-section so she couldn’t move that well. (Ikaw ba naman mahiwa sa tyan manghihina ka rin.) I saw a very strong man behind that thin body (mas matindi pa sa macho!). He was the one who changed his baby’s nappies, always in her side. He was eager to tell us stories about her newest girl who makes his world go round. His words are of how happy and contented he was for having her princess jr.
Truth be told. On my way home I was thinking does the baby look like her mom or her dad, I was amazed on how the proud parents brag about their new found joy and not minding the single detail every body will be asking… Sino ba kamukha? Haha! Nakalimutan ko nga rin picturan eh.
