I am so excited to see our photos soon! Kahit hindi ako sexy!

Accidents do happen. =)

That afternoon, I called Schatzy to come because I was not feeling good but that time. I told him if I could take the day off. He told me that I could go but I need to be back after an hour. I opted not to go because I thought it was a waste of time.
Still with a splitting headache and the urge to go home to rest, I tried to work. I was transferring a not so hot cooking oil when the container collapsed… the oil spilled on my right leg. I was burned but did not feel the pain. I asked for a chair so I can sit and rest because I feel tired. Slowly I can feel the pain. The headache and the burning skin was not a good combination. Yes. Accidents do happen and I am glad it happened to me. I thank God that it didn’t happen to my Schatzy nor my lil ones and even my support group.

YOU don't want me BITCHING around!

And yes, another day in the store begins, the rain poured so the customers are few. There I was all geared up for the burger cooking day when a customer asked me "Magkano sweldo mo d2?"(How much is your salary here?) I just looked at her and smiled "Tama lang po" (just enough).
She started munching her burger when I asked her " Maam 23 pesos po!" She answered "Kailangan ko na ba magbayad ngayon?" (Do I have to pay now?) with a very irritated tone. So, I was there busy cooking burgers. When she started to ask me again how much my salary was. I answered in a very honest tone, "Hindi po ako sumusweldo d2 eh" (I don't have a salary here) and before she could open here mouth again I said " Kasi ako nagpapasweldo d2." (Cause I am the one who pays the salary." Then I smiled. She looked confused and said with an angry tone "Makano nga?" (Hom much?) I enhaled deeply and said with a louder voice "I don't get paid cause I own this place!" and forced myself to smile. She changed her tone to a soft one and asked me "Baka kailangan nyo pa ng crew" (Maybe you need more crew) I sheepishly smiled "No I don't need one!" turned my back and mumbled "I don't need one like you" =)

There was I, forced to forget how to be humble. She unleashed my bitchy part eh.

I am ME

Whenever an old friend or someone who knows me sees me after a long time, the reaction that I will get is " You never changed!". I don't know if it's the physical type cause it's obvious that I gain a few pounds ( few nga lang ba?) or the way I act. Maybe it's in the way I act cause I still have the makulit type of attitude and the same expression on things.

I may or may not change in their point of view but I know that I have matured in a way that I am happy with my life right now. I have achieved most of my goals and I can balance my time now. I juggle my time for my kids, husband and career. I am thankful that Fairy Faye is there to help me achieve these. I don't need commendation from my family cause I can feel that they are happy for me.

I may not have a lot of time in my hands but I am pretty sure that my family cherishes it when I can spend it with them.

Hope that everything goes well.

Weigh my options

Yup. I am trying to weigh my options. Everything is falling into it's place. There is a big surprise for our family and friends that's been waiting.

I went out with the kids today. I spent time with them because time will come that I have to give my career a chance to grow. I am very thankful that Schatzy is supportive with this one. (I can't think of a time when he wasn't). I was talking to Fairy Faye about the career move and she is supportive too. Even if my kids still cannot understand why, I talked to them like adults and I was rewarded with a bunch of kisses and hugs.

I understand that life has it's ups and downs. You just gotta take the ride and hold on. The moment you let go of the given opportunity. It may not come back. So here I am with whole heart... years spent in learning will be used.

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!

Yup I DO! 24 hours is not enough for my day. I am still preparing for my career change and I am so happy it's finally here. I never thought that my dream would come true. Finally it is within reach. I can't say much, till next time.

Wanting...

I like taking photos... using Osher. Lately, because of the places that we have been seeing I want to have an SLR. I know I can't afford one but I am wishing that soon, maybe God willing, I can afford one for myself...

That is why I am taking the risk of putting up something that can help me buy what I want. RISK... yes I am taking the risk (sabay lunok) hahaha. We are pushing through this project since I am wanting this for so long. I am thankful Schatzy has been and always been supportive with this project.

Work + Play = Family!

Married Life is not a bed of roses that's what they say. Work is sometimes hard and sometimes fun. It can make you laugh at the situation, or sometimes cry. I gives you fond memories and humbling ones that shape up your character. In gives you opportunity to rub elbows with stars and politicians, sometimes business tycoons. Me, I love work because I gain friends and team buddies that turn out to be my family.

Chocolate overload...

We (together with my partner Arlene) started a business months ago. We are passionate about it that's why it's giving us happiness in return. In our first month, we already had four events and the month isn't over yet. We believe that this is really our calling. Thank you lord for everything that comes our way. Thank you for whatever you will bestow on us. As for now, we will do our best in this business. Thank you so much and let the chocolate overload!

starting small...

I have never started a business before. My friends were not that supportive specially my parents.

This time I got my courage from my kids. They made me feel that they need me.

To earn some money (even if it's not that big) I started recycling. I love recycling because it lessens trash. It may require a little effort but heck I'm earning from it. And the money I earn I give it to Ate Faye. Last time she went to the recycling area near our place she earned 75 pesos. Money enough to buy her load and merienda. Not bad right?

Now, I have a soap business. I earn a little but I am enjoying it. And the good thing is I am helping the less fortunate people by selling it cheap. They can raise their eyebrows for all they want. The important things is I am earning in a decent way. It may not give me big bucks but it can pay our water bill. Every time I make it I pour love into it and a little prayer that whoever uses it may have a prosperous and healthy life. Not a chant and definitely not potion hahaha!

And the other business that I have is the business that I am very passionate about. It's our chocolate fondue business called Sweetdefinitions. It's near what I have learned in school. It brings out my talent in table design. It makes my mind think all the time. That's why I love it.

These businesses still gives me time for my family. And maybe someday, this will help us in achieving our goals.

Materials

Last Sunday I was tasked to go to the Fabric warehouse. I didn't have time so I went there today even though my car is color coding. I bought satin silk in 5 colors. Actually, I was only asked to buy 3 colors Pink, Powder Blue and Red but I opted to buy 2 more colors Green and Yellow. I enjoyed looking in all the colors and asked Kuya Joseph if I can have swatches for the other colors. He was more than happy to give me more than I needed. I was pressuring him because it was already 2pm. And the color coding window will end at 3pm. I made it on time. Good thing Pasig and Marikina doesnt have color coding.

When I reached home, I wasn't yet fulfilled with what I have bought. I went to SM to buy more stuffs that will make our table setting more unique than others. I bought plastic grapes (in four different colors) and strawberries. I bought 2 big bowls and 8 small ones for our dipping. I bought clear ones so it is easier for clients and guest to see whats inside. It's cheaper than pyrex that's why I bought a lot. We will never know when this will come in handy.
I went to National Bookstore to buy acrylic sheets but they don't have it. Instead I saw this stand and business card holder and bought it at once. I bought 1 stand which I will put our name on in and a business card holder that I will put in our table setting so people asking for us will just get there. I bought a business card holder for us too. Whenever I put business card in my wallet it looks worn out so it is good that I saw this one. I bought one also for my sis Arlene. Hehehe. She's celebrating her birthday today! Happy birthday Girl! I won't post your age. It's just numbers as they say.

I wanted to buy candles but I thought it will melt (ha! hello! for those people who doesn't know that candles melt!!! Candle is a wax! And wax melts!). I opted for this Led lights instead. They are battery operated but looks like a real candle. And another good thing about it is that I don't need to clean the wax if it melts. (Yes people! Wax melts!) hahaha!

Everything is falling into place...

My mind is not numb from the meds I have taken to take away the toothache. I asked Schatzy to watch my much awaited film "DRAG me to HELL". Hahaha. I was covering my face almost the whole time. It's scary! but... I don't like the ending. It became corny when they went to the medium. So never mind the movie... What am I talking about? I am talking about our business. I love how everything is falling into place. In just a short time we have come up with a lot of ideas. And we are starting to have clients. Hope to tell you more about our business but I just don't want to jinx it till our first client pushes through. We are having our taste test tomorrow. I'm so excited. Till next time.

This is it!

Now, it's not a dream anymore. It's a reality.

This whole afternoon I spent wondering if it's true. Frankly, I was in shock. It wouldn't sink in until now.

I prayed when we were in the church this afternoon. I asked for wisdom in this calling that I will pursue.

A business proposal was made through a phone call by my friend. I am overwhelmed and I can't blog about it. I just don't want to jinx it. Hope blog about it soon.
