It started with a paper house, a drawing and a prayer. My life isn't perfect. I said to myself that I would take care of my family the way that I have envisioned years ago. I would play the role of the mom that would prepare for her kids snacks for school, when they get home I would help them with their assignments. I would not spoil them but teach them things that they have to know cause I can't be around all the time. Sabi nga ni Jesus "Teach them how to fish, and they will never be hungry again."
As for my Schatzy, I help him with his needs, prepare his food (not all the time) and take care of him. It not easy to juggle my time, it needs balance, right timing and determination to finish my tasks. I am happy that my planner is filled with events and tasks that makes me very productive.
The fulfillment it gives me makes me happy. At least the simple things that I was longing for during my childhood are experienced by my family.

Welcoming year 2011
Our New year's celebration is simple. We celebrated it outside our patio. I turn it into soomething that surprised everyone.
I cooked a few dishes like pasta with tomato and basil. baked mussels, ordered sushi, seaweeds shocked oysters and I forgot some of what I cooked.
The table presentation was inspired by the wedding that our team was handling a few days before. It made our dinner more intimate.
The curtains add privacy because we don't want the other building to see us. When the kids came they were awed. =)

Happy New Year Everyone!

Trick or treat '10
Always in a hurry. We said that there would be no trick or treating for the kids this year, NOT! My son was so eager to be one of the zombies in plants vs zombies. So, yeah, I have to give in.=) He wore his costume last last year and I painted his face. We couldn't find a costume for my lil angel so I bought gauze and food color and this is how she looked.

Sickness...
Since sunday our family is sick. My lil hero is the only one who is safe. I have been suffering from cough and colds. Schatzy has dry cough too. I am worried about my lil angel who's fever goes up and down in a few minutes.
We went to the hospital and she had her blood test and urine exam. The results are good (thank God!) but still her fever goes up and down. I am a bit paranoid because she had a seizure a few months ago. I hope our family will be ok soon.

Mommy Moments-Love Language
There are 5 basic love languages we use and they are:
• Words of Affirmation. People need to hear compliments. Simple "thank you" or "you look wonderful today" is important to this people.
• Quality Time. People equate love with spending time with them like listening to them, walking, talking and the likes.
• Physical Touch. People need to be hugged, touched, or sit close together.
• Receiving Gifts. People need to receive thoughtful, not necessarily expensive, gifts.
• Acts of Service. People receive love through acts of service like fixing the bed, preparing a meal for them or doing a chore for them.
And I have learned this through:
I was excited to know what kind of LOVE LANGUAGE I express to my Schatzy and Lil ones (ok my lil hero attest that he is not LITTLE anymore, but still this is my blog so I'll call him that). I was expecting that my Schatzy will give an answer of two but surprisingy he answered all.
Then I asked myself why he answered all... that's why I thought of how my day is spent with them.
Every morning when I wake up I would say... "Morning everybody! I love you!" a small thank you for a new day to the guy who is up above and start the day ahead. Then I said "hmmm...Words of affirmation nga!"
Then we would chat about what they have dreamt that night or what they are planning for the day ahead... and in return I'll share them mine. Which falls in the category Quality Time.
I would kiss them and hug them. Or sometimes we end up playing and tickling each other. That's my physical touch.
I would write simple note or create something thats out of the box for them that falls in the category Receiving gifts.
Then I would give my kids a bath or feed them or the like. I would usually make brunch for my Schatzy and prepare his clothes when he takes a bath. And that explains my acts of service.
I was convinced that I give them all the categories that can express how much I love them. I am so happy!!!
